Due to the Dallas bye and several midfielders getting injured or not playing last week, there has been a lot of confusion and scrambling going on to find Fit players. The best advice we can give it this: First take a deep breath and don’t make a hasty transfer. See if your player will be fit/available for the double game week, if he is try to bench him and play your bench players. If it does not look good, then think about making a transfer. We’ve found a few options that look promising.
Graham Zusi (SKC v CHV) Magee* (LA vs HOU), and Amobi Okugo (PHI vs SEA).
*You could also go with Donovan here because he injury (leg strain) does not sound very serious.

Ricardo Clark (Houston) vs Los Angeles
Owned by: 6.8%
The red card that Brad Davis earned in the closing moments of game wit Colorado was very upsetting to many people and was enough to motivate people to sell. It may be premature because he should only miss 1 game. BUT, if you are not satisfied with the numbers from the $9.0m midfielder, but still want Houston coverage, take a look at Ricardo Clark. He gets key passes and has the ability to generate defensive points too. W/o Davis, his skills should be called upon more. All of that comes wrapped in an under $7.5m package (and just 3 points behind Davis). We all know that Houston has problems on the road and this game does not look like it will be any easier since LA is undefeated at home.
Brandon Barklage (New York) vs Columbus
Owned by: 5.7%
At Under $6.5m Barklage is a steal, especially if Dax is not back for next week’s double games. His overall score may not show it well, but Barklage is tied for the most assists (by a midfielder) in the league right now. He also has the ability to generate defensive points, which would be good because they are playing at Columbus this week and they have been energized by the beat down they gave to DC. This is more of a Week 11 prep pick.
Diego Chara (Portland) vs New England
Owned by: 1.4%
We’ve essentially got two differential picks this week. Originally we wanted to recommend a Montreal player, but could not settle on a midfield pick since they seem to be changing their formation. So, if you feel like you have a good feel for Montreal, take a look at them. However, if you share our worries, why not Chara? Portland has been on an upswing lately and they are hosting New England this week. Newengand is not an offensive powerhouse and Portland has kept clean sheets during their last two home games. Will Johnson may be the hot pick from Portland, but Chara is just 3 points behind him thanks to bonus point generation and assists. He’s also cheaper. Combine all this together and you have a guy who’s fantasy potential looks pretty good over the next several weeks.
Shea Salinas (San Jose) vs Montreal
Owned by: 1.2%
While we still think Chavez is a guy to keep an eye on at San Jose, until his playtime gets a bit more consistent, we’ll have to look elsewhere for our differential pick. This week, we stay with San Jose but go with Shea Salinas. For all of the crosses and key passes he has, his assists have been low, but all that changed last week when he got 2! If he can keep that up, he should be a good pickup going into the easy double game week San Jose has coming up.
