KFC’s Fantasy MLS Forward picks – Week 16

Here are our forwards picks for week 16.

If you want to see more, keep reading after the break. But please join the discussion at r/FantasyMLS, that’s where a lot of planning is made and last second decisions finalized. If you have questions, please stop by!

This one is going to be very short.

There is only one single game week forwards worth looking at, and he may actually be a differential this week, Robbie Keane. He was on good form with Ireland and we all know how he and Donovan play.

The top forward pick for this week (in all of FMLS) is Marco Di Vaio. He’s number two in total goals scored and he’s on a nice run of form. With the recent Columbus defensive woes, his scoring potential could go up. Next is Ryan Johnson.  He’s been spotty for Portland, both in goals and playtime, but he racked up a few assists before he went to play for Jamaica. You can take him if you have a good feeling, bur we’d rather go with Di Vaio and one of the cheaper forwards.

This brings us to our two cheaper picks. Camilo Sanvezzo is under $8.0m, has three goals in three games, and one assist. With Vancouver’s home scoring record, he could be a very good bet. Finally, we know that many people may people have Deshorn Brown on their team already. If you have him, give him a go. If you are looking for a Colorado forward, take a look at Atiba Harris. If you have the extra cash, he’s on a nice bit of form. But again, we like Colorado for their defense, not their offense.

Final thoughts

• Columbus may be too concerned with defense for Higuain to shine.

• Running 2 forwards could turn out well

That’s all I got. I’d love to hear your feedback, plans, and insights.

These are our picks, if you think there should be more names on this list, please leave a comment or come to r/FantasyMLS and comment on the post.
