Keep reading for the breakdown of our transfers.
Week 19 summary
Finally a decent week again! We had more points sitting on our bench than we would have liked, but our final total was still 87, which is quite respectable. We really had higher hopes for Di Vaio, but this was an away game. Week 20’s game against Chivas is what we are really looking forward to.
Week 19 Changes
We did a little prep for the upcoming double game week and used all three of our transfers this week (we had one carried over).
Our prep trade was for Jose Goncalves. We’ve wanted to get him back in for a few weeks and with 2 home games and then a double game (away games), now seemed a good time. He replaced Michel, which might seem surprising, but we’re worried about Dallas’ recent form and the new signing that could send Michel back to the defensive line. We also dropped Gonzalez this week. LA’s form has just been disappointing recently. We wanted a player who was not only on form, but someone who posed a bit more of an attacking threat. So we also picked up Sheanon Williams. Philly may be away today, but they have a lot of home games coming up.
Our final trade came in the midfield. With the money we saved on our defense, we were able to afford to drop Oriol Rosell and replaced him with Sebastien Le Toux. He’s been on a run a good form recently and with J Mac gone, we like his chances for more forward play.
Our final decision was for captain. As you may be able to guess, we’re going with the Caparoo again so we have given Morales the Cap. Le Toux has the VC and we’ll see how well he plays against are struggling Houston. If he does poorly, we have Di Vaio waiting in the wings to swoop in and take the Captain’s title.
Week 21 Prep
We will definitely be making some more changes to our back line and will be reevaluating the usefulness of most of our Montreal players.
