Most Important Stats of 2013

Question-Marks

Last month I posted some stats from the 2013 MLS season. Since then, I’ve done a little more work and I’m ready to talk what we can learn from this data. Specifically, I took a look to see which stats were most related to a player’s final total score. The idea was that by identifying the stats that contribute the most to a player’s score, I could find some promising bargains for the 2014 season.

KFC’s MLS Fantasy Player Roundup – Wildcard Playoff

 soccer_banner

The playoffs are here and the times for the first games have now been announced. There are only 4 teams playing this week and you have unlimited transfers to prepare for this round. If you’ve built up a good team value, you should not have a problem picking all of the big names from each team, or maybe you want to stack your team with differentials. Regardless, Im going to breakdown the positions to help you decide.

Keeper vs Keeper: How to Maximize the Remaining Home Games

 Question-Marks

As I mentioned in my earlier post, several people at /r/FantasyMLS have been discussing which keeper was worth keeping for the rest of the season. To help I posted some tables in the thread with information about remaining home and away games for each team. I did this because the KFC form charts clearly show that all of the MLS teams are MUCH better at home. So who stands out as the best option?

KFC’s MLS Fantasy Player Roundup – Week 29

 soccer_banner

If you have not started thinking about your trades yet, you better start. Week 29 starts on the 4th so it’s a short turnaround. Also, as I mentioned last week, players have started leaving for World Cup Qualifiers, so several people could be missing some key players. But don’t worry; I’ve tried to work up some picks that can address how you can handle filling the gaps.

Oh yeah, it’s also a Double Game Week!

KFC’s MLS Fantasy Player Roundup – Week 28

soccer_banner

It’s been a while eah? Sorry for not posting one of these sooner, it’s down to just me at KFC and with starting a new job recently, I’ve not had quite as much time as before. But you all did not come here to read some sob story did you? Let’s get on to the good stuff.

There are two bits of news that you’ll want to keep in mind. 1) Week 29 is another double game week so you’ll want to keep that in mind when making your player choices. In my opinion, it stacks up about as well as the last one, but you could still find some worthwhile players. 2) Week 29 also marks the beginning on the next World Cup Qualifying round. Be sure to checkout our list of MLS callus before picking your team HERE. With that in mind, lets start talking playes.

KFC’s MLS Fantasy Player Roundup – Week 24

 soccer_banner

So I got a few comments from the last couple of weeks that basically said people liked the condensed format, but wanted it earlier. I’ll give it a shot this week and we’ll see how it works. I know we’re at hump day, but some things cant’ be rushed. We did publish the form charts for this week a couple of days ago. So check those out if you have not already.

If you looked at our form charts, you saw that almost every team is close in current form. Last week this gave a lot of advantage to the differential players and several managers were rewarded for taking some risks. The same can be said for this week. So get ready for some differential discussion.

Maximize your home players for the rest of the season (Weeks 21-36).

Question-Marks

So if you follow us on Twitter, you may have noticed that we promised something special since we were not able to post a lot over the past two weeks. This is that post.

Since the second Wildcard is now available (Week 21-25), we know some people will be overhauling their teams. As you’re doing this, you’ll wan to keep an eye on how some of your players rotate, especially Defenders and Keepers. We’ve made a chart to help you identify the teams that best rotate Home and Away games.

Keep reading to see the chart and get the breakdown or the best pairs.  Continue reading
